Highland Flowers and Plants

Scotland is said to have over 1,600 native vascular plant species plus more than 1,500 lichens and nearly 1,000 non-vascular bryophytes’ (mosses, hornworts, and liverworts).

Needless to say, Scot’s pine forest and the mountain ranges of Cairngorm and the Nevis range offer unique climates, which support equally unique species of flora and fauna.
