Contrasting Spring Shots

We’ve had some glorious weather recently, with brilliant sunshine in the Highlands (whilst there has been flooding and thunderstorms down South). The period of high pressure, contributing the sunshine has also caused many moody misty morning too.

This has lead to some contrasting spring shots, which I have shown in the Gallery below. I think this is my favourite of these photographs, not because it captures the contrast in itself – I just like the shot:

Paddling Aigas Gorge

I spent a very enjoyable day with a group of Highland Photographers led by Donald McPherson from Explore Highland paddled along Aigas Gorge.

The weather was commonplace – not quite four seasons in one day…. We had plenty of sunshine and it was very mild for January, apart from during the odd squally shower!! This made for a great variety of light to photograph in.

One of the many things that Di and I love about living here are the distinct four Highland seasons that we get here and the amazing variety of conditions and experiences that this brings.
